The Wagner Tuning high-performance intercooler was specially developed for the demanding 2.9 liter V6 biturbo engine (VW EA839) of the Audi RS4/RS5 models. It replaces the standard water-cooled intercooler and offers you a multitude of advantages.
With the new performance intercooler core, Wagner Tuning have increased the core volume by an impressive 185%. Due to the optimal ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface, maximum heat transfer and optimal internal air flow are ensured. The cast aluminum end boxes were designed in CAD and perfected with the help of CFD simulations to provide the best possible air flow to your engine. The result is outstanding cooling properties with minimal back pressure. This high-performance intercooler is also ideal for track use and ensures optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance.
For a lasting and reliable cooling effect, all Wagner Tuning intercoolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating.

The 2.9L V6 biturbo EA839 engine of these models is equipped with an advanced indirect charge air cooling circuit. Unlike conventional systems, the charge air cooling process is not realized by ambient air, but by a separate cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature therefore leads directly to an improved cooling performance of the charge air.
