If you're like us, you enjoy having a lowered vehicle. However, sometimes being low means dealing with bad roads, nasty pot holes and construction zone nightmares. Compounding this issue is the fact that most Mk7/Mk7.5 vehicles come with a plastic oil pan that is easily broken. As if that already wasn't bad enough, the factory skid plate is not supported or reinforced and is actually desiged to move along with the front bumper. This means that if you hit something on the front edge of the bumper, there is a very good likelyhood that you could damage your oil pan or other parts.

Fortunately for you, we've assembled this handy kit to better equip your Mk7 or Mk7.5 vehicle to combat the perils of the road. This kit is based around the factory skidplate that is used on the VW Golf Alltrack. This particular skidplate features front steel supports that will not simply crumple or shove the skid plate into the oil pan and other underlying parts in the case of an impact. These supports are mounted to your vehicle's frame rails for much improved support over the original setup. In addition, the rear of this skidplate bolts directly to the metal subframe for further reinforcement.
