TyrolSport Deadset Rigid Subframe Collar Kit - VW Mk5, Mk6, B6 Passat / CC, Audi 8P A3, 8J TT
Hands down one of the best suspension upgrades for the money! Installing this kit will drastically improve your cars handling both under spirited and normal driving. Braking feel is also improved with much better pedal feel and control. After installation you'll wonder how you ever drove your car before.
You can finally eliminate the subframe clunk that VW/Audi was never able to resolve. The OEM TSB “fix” does not address the root cause of the clunk because it reuses the OEM hardware. It’s not long before the clunk returns.
The failure of the OEM bolts is one of the primary causes of the subframe clunk, and they must be replaced. TyrolSport have worked with world renowned fastener company ARP to develop custom hardware for this application. The bolts meet National Aerospace Standard for tensile strength yet mimic the oem hardware in shear.They are then nitrided for increased durability.
TyrolSport's collars are machined out of 954 Billet Bronze Alloy for the ultimate in strength and corrosion resistance. It is the combination of this hardware which makes this kit so successful at solving the problem. Finally, a solution that works, is easy to install, and won’t break the bank!

This kit is updated to now be fully compatible with the Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit (WALK) as well as SuperPro suspension bushings.
We highly recommend installing the SuperPro Adjustable Balljoint Kit along with this kit. This is due to the TyrolSport subframe collars removing any subframe slack that might normally be used to adjust your alignment. While you can install this kit without the adjustable balljoints, we've found that adjusting camber to your desired position is much easier with the SuperPro Adjustable Balljoint Kit installed.
The stretch bolts that attach the control arm brackets to your vehicle should be replaced whenever they are removed. You can find an option above to include new OEM subframe hardware.
