Engineered & Enhanced

To construct a pair of TTE800+'s the original compressor is changed and install a far larger and more efficient billet wheel with extended tip technology. TTE then mills the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile.

TTE has installed a clipped turbine for greater gas flow. The clipping of the turbine is a special TTE grinding process to the turbine blade tips. Curved to alleviate stress from the process. Clipping reduces the blade area thus increasing gas flow and so reducing back pressure and lowering exhaust gas temperatures, allowing a safer higher boost level. This process also gives a secondary advantage of removing some material, lightening the turbine thus reducing the rotational mass improving moment of inertia. We also fit our TTE upgrade bearing pack to ensure long term reliability.


Precisely balancing turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving their balance standards. First, parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using the TTE single parts machine, then the components are assembled. Finally, the CHRA are dynamically balanced at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using their in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document.

Please be aware that on this platform the factory equipped charge cooler does not support more airflow than about 800HP on 102 pump fuel. The original charge cooler or modified is not a recommended option with these turbochargers! We highly recommend installing an aftermarket intercooler upgrade.
