The nylon retaining ring replicates the factory indexing tabs to keep the cap aligned straight, exactly where it should be. The cap itself is produced from CNC 5-axis machined billet 6061 aluminium, then hard-anodised in gloss black for a long lasting, high quality finish with laser-etched graphics.
