OE Wheel Bearing - Rear - VW Mk5, Mk6, Mk7, Audi 8P, 8V FWD
Whether your bearings are worn due to high mileage or from heavy track use, you owe it to yourself and your car to make sure that you have good, properly working bearings. Remember, your wheel bearings affect almost every aspect of your driving experience. Replace them as soon as you have any signs of excessive wear. Due to how they wear, we highly recommend replacing your both of your rear wheel bearings at the same time. If you simply replace one side, you may promote excessive tire wear on one side of your vehicle.
A variety of sounds can often indicate that you have a worn bearing, but you can also easily check it yourself. This can be done by jacking your vehicle up enough to lift the wheel off of the ground and then rocking the wheel back and forth from top to bottom. If you are able to easily rock the wheel back and forth, chances are that the bearing will need replacement. We highly recommend checking for excessive play in the bearing yourself or by an experienced mechanic prior to ordering any parts.
