HIGH/LOW TORQUE FILES

IE High Torque ECU calibrations maximize power gains throughout the entire powerband which quickly exceeds the torque limitations of the factory DSG calibration (auto trans) or the stock clutch (manual trans) that leads to clutch slipping. Stage 1 and Stage 2 files include optional Low Torque files for vehicles with stock DSG tune or stock clutch. Both high and low torque files are included and can be switched between as often as you like. High Torque files require the additional purchase of a DSG transmission tune to reliably take advantage of the intense power.

TRUEFLEX ETHANOL

INSTANT ADAPTABILITY
IE's TrueFlex unlocks the flexibility to run full E85 down to 91 octane gas and any mix in between on a single tune without the need to reflash the ECU. IE's software engineers and calibrators have developed our own advanced TrueFlex calibration, allowing the ECU to safely adjust for ethanol content down to the exact percentage in real-time. This powerful programming brings the ease and confidence to fill up at the pump and make the most power available from your fuel choice without having to drain, verify blends, or reflash the ECU.

TrueFlex is now available for all Stage 1, Stage 2 and Garrett GT2260S Tunes!

MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
Factory equipped flex-fuel calibrations are designed to adjust for the cleanest emissions for different ethanol blends to get the highest MPG. This typically results in maximum timing for the lowest octane (91) across the entire range up to E85, leaving loads of untapped power on the table. IE TrueFlex is a complete performance adaptation that makes instant and continuous adjustments to performance maps such as boost and timing and releases the most available power for the fuel mix as it enters the cylinder.

RELIABLE ETHANOL
Not only does IE TrueFlex allow for amazing power potential, but it also offers the most safety from ethanol blends. The ability to truly meter and adjust for ethanol content allows the tune to instantly alter the ECU maps to keep the engine in the optimal range and protect from dangerous lean conditions. This offers amazing protection from pumps that may have lower than advertised ethanol content or if no ethanol is available. TRUEFLEX REQUIREMENTS

TRUEFLEX HARNESS
The EA888 Gen 3 2.0T engine is not equipped with any type of Flex Fuel systems from the factory and lacks the ability to sense fuel content. In order for IE's TrueFlex ECU tune to work, an IE TrueFlex Sensor Harness Kit is required. This easy to install harness kit installs a sensor capable of delivering instant fuel content data to the ECU calibration.

HPFP
Ethanol offers higher power output but also requires more fuel delivery than regular pump gas. The stock High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) can not deliver enough fuel to support ethanol and must be upgraded. Upgrading the HPFP ensures there will be enough fuel supply for ethanol content to run reliably at all elevations and climate conditions safely.

DSG TUNE / CLUTCH UPGRADE
Due to the high-power output of IE TrueFlex ethanol tunes, the IE DSG TCU calibration is required to prevent the factory clutches from slipping under load. Additionally, the DSG calibration will deliver higher RPM limit, faster shifts, optimized shift points, adjustable launch control, and a true performance tuned transmission. Acceleration times will greatly improve giving you the most performance from your TrueFlex ethanol tune. Manual transmission vehicles require a clutch upgrade.

EXHAUST CRACKLE
Enabling the Exhaust Crackle feature will add a motorsport-inspired crackle sound to your exhaust note when you free-rev the engine or decelerate. This feature can be flashed on or off at will with your IE POWERlink. For the most aggressive pops and bangs an aftermarket catback system is recommended.

BRAKE BOOST
Commonly used in roll racing, Brake Boosting allows you to build extra boost by applying brake pressure while accelerating. Release the brake pressure for a "rolling launch" or extra surge of power. Brake Boost is included on all tune stages.

INCREASED RPM
To take advantage of the new larger power band, factory rev limits have been raised to 7000RPM in all stages. On DSG equipped cars, the transmission will shift slightly before the new engine RPM (6900RPM). DSG Tune is required to unlock higher RPM.

LAUNCH CONTROL

IE ECU & TCU tunes feature optional launch control strategies to deliver the competitive edge in drag or roll racing environments. 2-step launch control, rolling anti-lag, and break boosting are available for select tune stages.

IE's fully proven software brings track-ready ECU programming to your IS38 turbocharged 2.0T engine while retaining factory comfort and reliability. IE's own tuning technology suite is used to completely reverse-engineer the factory ECU mapping, allowing our software engineers access to realign all safety protocols and sensors for the new performance calibration. Every tune parameter undergoes months of testing on our in-house dyno systems that utilize the world's only Sea Level Generator developed specifically to verify tune operations in any condition. At Home With POWERlink

IE's own in-house developed POWERlink cable and software gives you the freedom to quickly flash your car’s engine control unit (ECU) or transmission control unit (TCU) with your new IE performance tune. The cable simply plugs into your vehicle’s OBD-2 port, from there simply follow the on-screen directions to quickly upload the tune. Adding horsepower is as easy as clicking FLASH NOW!

The flash tool also grants instant access to upgrade tune stages, switch fuel octanes, flash back to stock, perform engine diagnostics, read/clear codes and gather high-quality operating data via logging.

System requirements:

Laptop or tablet with Wifi connection and USB port running Windows 7 or above operating system required. Powered by 32 or 64 bit processor with 1.0GHz or greater and 4GB of Ram.

Please note that if you are planning on flashing your car at home, we highly recommend having a proper battery charger on hand. If your vehicle loses power while flashing it, you run the risk of damaging your ECU.
