HOW TO IE TUNE YOUR 2.0T FSI

Choose Your Stage

IE ECU Tunes for your VW or Audi 2.0T FSI engine are available in multiple Stages offering maximum performance and reliability for either stock or aftermarket installed parts. Read below to determine the best stage for your build!

Stage 1

The IE Stage 1 2.0T FSI (EA113 engine) tune delivers an aggressive power upgrade without having to install any hardware modifications. Perfect for customers looking for a big jump in power without adding any additional hardware. In a matter of minutes, the vehicle will be much more enjoyable to drive with a massive boost in performance.

Stage 1 recommended hardware

  • Aftermarket Cold Air Intake (recommended)
  • Aftermarket Intercooler (recommended)

Stage 2

For customers looking to maximize the performance of the stock engine and turbo setups with bolt-on hardware, IE Stage 2 software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match installed aftermarket hardware. Stage 2 results deliver massive power gains across the powerband, fully realizing the engine and stock turbocharger potential.

Stage 2 required & recommended hardware

  • Aftermarket Performance Downpipe (required)
  • Aftermarket Cold Air Intake (recommended)
  • Aftermarket Intercooler (highly recommended)

Add an IE Powerlink Tool or Setup an Appointment With Us

In order to flash your vehicle, you will either need an IE POWERlink Direct-port Flash Tool (sold separately) and a Windows 7+ powered laptop or you may setup an installation appointment at one of our shops.

Flash Your Car or Have Us Do It For You

Follow the link provided with your IE POWERlink Flash Tool to download our Flash Wizard software and follow the on-screen directions to tune your FSI in a matter of minutes! Alternatively, we can flash your car for you at one of our shops.

Please note that if you are installing this tune yourself, you MUST have a battery charger connected. If you attempt to flash your car without a proper battery charger, you run the risk of damaging your ECU if the battery dies while performing the flash.

Developed in-house, IE engineers are equipped with industry-leading tuning technology to completely reverse engineer the factory mapping and safely modify it to maximize performance. Years of professional tuning high-powered race vehicles and intimate knowledge of the VW & Audi engines results in a wicked fast car on the street or the track. Your new software tune is easily uploaded to your factory installed ECU (engine control module) without touching a wrench in your own driveway. Multiple tunes are available to match your stock or installed aftermarket hardware.

IE STAGE 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD
This free option is included with a Stage 1 Tune purchase and is for owners who have installed an IE Performance Intake Manifold (Sold Separately). IE Stage 1 Intake Manifold software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match the manifold plenum and runner flow characteristics along with special tuning for the removed runner flaps. Even though tuning now matches higher flow characteristics of the intake manifold, performance numbers are still limited by the factory downpipe. Because of this, Stage 1 IM combination is only recommended for users who are planning on Stage 2 IM in the future, are trying to get rid of constantly failing runner flaps or cracking plastic manifolds, and building for improved engine bay looks.

Included with all Stage 2 purchases, The IE Stage 2 Intake Manifold tune is designed for customers looking to maximize the performance of the factory engine and turbocharger with an IE 2.0T Performance Intake Manifold (Sold Separately). Like Stage 1 IM tune, this software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match the manifold plenum and runner flow characteristics along with special tuning for the removed runner flaps. Results with a manifold deliver power gains across the powerband, fully realizing the 2.0T TSI stock turbo power potential.

EASY INSTALLATION - TUNE FROM HOME OR HAVE NGP INSTALL IT FOR YOU
IE's own in-house developed POWERlink cable gives you the control to unlock your engine’s true potential from your own garage or driveway. Enjoy the freedom to quickly reflash your car’s engine control unit (ECU) or transmission control unit (TCU) with IE’s line of performance tunes. The cable simply plugs into your vehicle’s OBD-2 port delivering instant access to choose different IE Tune stages to match installed hardware, take advantage of different fuel octanes, flash to stock, perform engine diagnostics, read/clear codes and gather high-quality operating data via logging.

Please note that if you are installing this tune yourself, you MUST have a battery charger connected. If you attempt to flash your car without a proper battery charger, you run the risk of damaging your ECU if the battery dies while performing the flash.

*This ECU calibration is for 2.0T FSI timing belt driven engines, late model 2.0T TSI timing chain driven engines require a separate tune. Not sure? Don't worry, your new IE flash tool will automatically detect your ECU and apply the correct tune for your engine.

Once a tune purchase is applied to your vehicle's ECU, the tune is permanently registered to the vehicle and non-transferable to other vehicles. Tune can be transferred to a second party in the event of vehicle transfer of ownership only.

Try IE software for 45 days from shipment date, if for any reason you are unsatisfied the tune may be removed and refunded risk-free.
