Integrated Engineering Performance Transmission Tune for Audi B9 A4, A5, & Q5 2.0T
Your iE tuned Audi A4 or A5 delivers the gains. The iE TCU Tune puts that power down. By synchronizing shift behavior, torque delivery, and RPM limits to perfectly align with iE Stage 1, 2, and 3 engine tunes, the drivetrain works as one. Faster shifts. Smarter gear selection. Stronger acceleration. A driving experience that feels sharper, more responsive, and fully dialed.
SHIFT LIKE YOU MEAN IT
Fast cars deserve fast shifts. The factory calibration is built for comfort and a smooth ride - characteristics that deliver early shifts, delayed response, and gear hunting when pushed. iE TCU tuning fixes that by rewriting shift logic, increasing clutch pressure, and removing torque limits. The result is fast, decisive shifts that hit exactly when you expect them and stay locked under power. No confusion. No slip. No clunks. Just smooth, fast, and precise shifts that keep you pulling hard through every gear.
CONFIDENCE IN EVERY SHIFT
We don’t rush it, we safeguard it. iE TCU tunes are developed over months and validated across real cars and real driving conditions worldwide. Every change is shaped by driver feedback and proven where it matters most. Clutch pressures are carefully increased and controlled to prevent slip without overstressing components, while advanced safety logic reduces power if temperatures climb too high. Fast, precise shifts. Full power when you want it. Protection when you need it.
BUILT FOR EVERY DRIVE
Unlike tunes that just raise RPM and speed up shifts, iE TCU tuning completely reworks how your transmission behaves in any scenario. Shift points are smarter when you push it and smoother when you don’t. Reduced take-off lag gets you moving quicker, while the gear display keeps you informed in both drive and sport modes. Upshifts and downshifts land exactly where they should. So good, you’ll forget it’s even there.
HITS DIFFERENT
Flat out, no lift. AMAX keeps both clutches engaged during shifts, so power never drops between gears. From launch to redline, acceleration stays uninterrupted and keeps pulling. Push through the kickdown switch while building launch control to unleash the full attack. Faster, harder acceleration on demand where other tunes lift off. This is your unfair advantage.
TCU GUIDE
What TCU Tune should I run?
STAGE 1 & 2: START HERE
Running an iE Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tune? The iE Stage 1 TCU Tune unlocks faster shifts, improved acceleration, a 6800 RPM limit, and full power delivery. Perfect your iE Tuned stock turbo A4 with a fully dialed performance drivetrain.
STAGE 3: BIGGER TURBO
Running an iE Stage 3 hybrid turbo setup? You need the Stage 3 TCU Tune. The added power from iE Stage 3 ECU tuning and the Turbo Systems hybrid turbo requires a transmission calibration built to handle it. The Stage 3 TCU features optimized shift scheduling, faster shift speeds, increased clutch capacity, and a 7200 RPM limit to match the turbo’s powerband. Required for all iE Stage 3 ECU tunes.

VARIABLE LAUNCH CONTROL
Experience chest-pounding launches with the Integrated Engineering's transmission tune featuring adjustable launch control. Tailored for optimal performance, choose from three distinct launch options: street, aggressive, and race. Each option increases the launch RPMs, allowing you to customize the launch experience to suit your vehicle and tire setup for the best grip and take-off power. Each launch setting offers two RPM launch and AMAX options, easily controlled by the throttle pedal:
- Apply 100% throttle input without engaging the kickdown switch to launch from the minimal chosen RPM without AMAX.
- Engage full pedal pressure while activating the kickdown switch to launch with an additional 400RPMs and trigger AMAX in all shifts, delivering the most aggressive launch and pull strategy.
| Launch Setting | Minimum RPM |
Maximum RPM |
| Street | 3000 | 3400 (with AMAX) |
| Aggressive | 3400 | 3800 (with AMAX) |
| Race | 3800 | 4200 (with AMAX) |
Note: AMAX is an advanced shift programming that greatly improves accleration by maintaing power to both transmission clutches simutaniously while transition between gears. This feature delivers a strong advantage in a competitive drag racing type scenario.
DRIVING ENHANCEMENTS
The factory transmission calibration often falls short in meeting the demands of performance enthusiasts, leaving much to be desired. Integrated Engineering's TCU tune addresses these limitations by entirely reworking the transmission drive-mapping strategy, catering specifically to the enthusiast driver. Beyond driving improvements, our TCU tune introduces additional features designed to enhance the driving experience:
- Reduced take-off lag time from a standstill.
- Enables gear display on the dashboard in both drive and sport modes.
- Eliminates factory torque pull during AMAX shifting.
- Increases protection by automatically reducing engine power if transmission temperatures climb too high.
