Haldex Front Driveshaft Coupler / Damper (Guibo) - Febi Bilstein
This coupler connects the drive-shaft of your vehicle to the transfer case (also known as a bevel box) on your transmission. The rubber portion acts as a damper to prevent unwanted noise and vibration from being transmitted into the cabin of your vehicle. Over time, this rubber tends to dry out and break down, which can lead to unwanted harshness being felt. Repeated, high RPM launches can also cause pre-mature wear of this part as well.
Please note: There are two driveshaft couplings on the driveshaft assembly, this one installs on the front.
We recommend examining the coupler on your vehicle at least once a year, or more often if the vehicle is driven hard on a regular basis. Launching your vehicle hard will increase wear on this part.
