The typical cause of this CEL (Check Engine Light)is usually failure of one of the physical components of the intake manifold flap system or the flap position sensor, which is only available with the complete intake manifold.

Updated "Fresh Air" Breather Hose and Bolt
VW has updated the design of the breather hose that attaches to the intake manifold. The latest version of this hose is designed to increase the longetivity of the flap actuation system. We highly recommend updating your hose to the latest version when replacing your intake manifold. Please click or tap here for this part.
OEM VS Genuine
If you select the OEM option, you will receive an intake manifold made by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) such as Febi Bilstein. If you select Genuine, you will receive a genuine VW/Audi intake manifold in a factory box.

Please note: This intake manifold is for the Gen 1 2.0T TSI engine only. Certain models such as the Mk6 Golf R have misleading engine covers that say that the engine is a TSI, when it is actually an FSI engine. If you need assistance identifying which engine you have, please feel free to contact us.
