Elring EL-LIQ 74 is a specialty anaerobic sealant that is designed for very specific sealing applications. One of those applications is the cam girdle (also mis-named as a "valve cover") on EA888 TSI engines. This sealant is used in place of RTV because RTV can harden and work its way into oil passages and clog them.
