This is the ultimate drivetrain service kit for Audi B9/B9.5 S4, S5 and RS5 vehicles equipped with the optional rear sport differential. Service Intervals
Chances are, if you're purchasing this kit, you're probably going to to be servicing everything at once. But just so you know when you'll need to service any of the drivetrain components again, here's some quick service interval information:

• Transmission Fluid - 40-50k miles
  
• Transmission Filter - 80k miles
• Final Drive/Front Differential - 40k miles
• Transfer Case/Center Differential - 40k miles
• Rear Differential - 40-60k miles (depending on driving conditions)

ZF 8-Speed Transmission Service Interval
Audi technically does not have a service interval for the AL552-8Q transmission and considers the fluid "lifetime." However, ZF (the manufacturer of the transmission) states that the fluid and filter should be changed between 40,000 and 50,000 miles, depending on your driving style.

Technically you should replace the filter at the same time, but we realize that some people that don't push their car very hard may prefer to simply perform a fluid change instead. If you do drive your car hard, we highly recommend changing the filter whenever you change the fluid. Also, even if you aren't driving your car hard, you should change the filter at least every 80k, or roughly every other fluid change service.

Final Drive and Transfer Case Service Interval
Audi technically does not list a service interval for either the center final drive/front differential or transfer case/center differential gear fluid in the AL552-8Q transmission. However, since gear lubricant does eventually wear out, it should be changed. We recommend changing it every 40k miles for the best results.

Rear Sport Differential Service Interval
Audi lists the fluids in the rear sport differential as "lifetime" fluids. This means that there is technically no set replacement interval. However, if you do regularly push your vehicle hard (especially if you go to the track), we recommend servicing these fluids every 40k miles. If the vehicle typically just sees casual day to day commuting, you can extend that interval to around 50-60k miles.
