APR is pleased to present the world's first ECU Upgrade for the 3.0 TFSI engine, now revised with new features and improved performance.
For several years, APR’s tested the 3.0 TFSI through brutal professional motorsport racing in the Grand-AM and World Challenge Road Racing Series. Automotive engineering firms have continuously turned to endurance racing as proving grounds for new technologies and to measure the durability and viability of these new technologies in a rigorous total system accelerated life-testing environment found in very few alternatives. Through this testing and research APR’s Engineering Team is able to deliver a more powerful application of the Stage I and Stage II+ ECU Upgrade and do so knowing little to no loss of life will be suffered in the comparison to the Original Calibration and engine performance levels.
APR’s dynamic calibration changes allow the TVS1320 supercharger unit to operate to its full potential under many different ambient conditions. The resulting increase in intake mass airflow delivers more power though the entire rev range, no matter what APR Stage or APR Performance program you choose. Accordingly, adjustments were made to other areas of the ECU calibration to ensure proper operation as intended by the OEM.
APR’s Motorsport Left Foot Braking feature is now available allowing customers more control over their vehicle’s throttle. Under normal operation, throttle input is disabled while pressing the accelerator and brake at the same time, however this may be undesirable for those looking to get the most out of their vehicles performance on the track. Enabling the left foot braking feature, the driver will have complete control over the vehicle’s throttle and braking system, which may give the edge he or she needs at the track.
APR’s Motorsport Rev Limiter is also now available allowing 6MT customers to reach max RPM without the ECU slowing down acceleration nearly 400 RPM’s earlier. The result is more power to redline and a definable redline feeling as seen on Audi Quattro GMBH vehicles such as the B7 RS4 and R8 V8 & V10.
Expect huge increases in top-end power, improved throttle response and a smoother, more powerful powerband.
The APR 3.0 TFSI ECU Upgrade is an expertly recalibrated engine control strategy that remaps the boost pressure, timing and air fuel ratios inside the factory ECU to provide smooth and reliable power as if intended by the OEM. APR's ECU Upgrade is developed to work within the OEM and Tier 1 Supplier specifications for engine component stress tolerances and performance specifications. APR's ECU Upgrades are available in octane specific versions to allow you to take full advantage of the fuel quality available in your area. APR's patented EMCS functionality puts the control of the engine's operation at your finger tips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to your OEM ECU.
APR Stage I ECU Upgrade
The APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications and produces 433-465 HP with 364-385 of torque. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intake, cooler, catback exhaust, and various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.
APR Stage II ECU Upgrade
The APR Stage 2 ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires upgrading the supercharger pulley, crank pulley, or both pulleys and produces 448-527 HP with 381-471 FT-LBS of torque when upgrading a single pulley. A cooler is highly recommended, and required to meed advertised results with a dual pulley setup. Use NGK Iridium IX BKR9EIX spark plugs. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intake, exhaust, and various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.
APR Stage II+ ECU Upgrade
The APR Stage 2+ Ultra ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires the APR Ultracharger Throttle Body Upgrade, both the supercharger and crank pulley, intake, cooler, and exhaust and produces 478-541 HP with 429-475 FT-LBS of torque. Use NGK Iridium IX BKR9EIX spark plugs. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.
APR has made a variety of paths available to upgrade from stock or previous APR software stages. Discounts are available for those purchasing a new APR Ultracharger kit or upgrading from a previous software stage. Please note that we will have to verify your previous software and/or purchases before installing the new software.
Please note that if you currently have APR Stage 2 software and are purchasing a new APR Ultracharger kit, there is no cost for the Stage 2+ software itself.
