Important note* While the hardware in this listing is compatible with your vehicle it is possible that the required tuning is not. To confirm ECU tuning is available for your car, your vehicle's ECU box code must be identified. If you own VAG COM, OBDeleven, Carista, or have access to factory VW/Audi diagnostic tooling, you can follow this guide to identify your ECU box code. You can also visit either New German Performance shop location and our staff will be happy to assist. The customer assumes all risk if this turbocharger purchased and installed without first confirming the required software is available. No returns are accepted for installed turbocharger kits.

Extra Maintenance Steps
If your current turbos have been inspected and no problems are found, please note the following minimal repair/inspection requirement from Audi TSB 2044640/4:
- Check valve and oil strainer should be replaced
- Ensure the oil bypass valve is fitted correctly
On top of the TSB, HPA recommends to replace the oil separator (PN: 079103542E).
For the ultimate peace of mind, NGP highly recommends that you install the JHM Stainless Braided Turbo Oil Line and Strainer/Screen Relocation Kit. This kit eliminates the faulty factory equipped oil strainer system and replaces it with a much better filtration system. Replacing your OEM Oil Strainer/Screen is a lengthy process which requires the vehicle to be placed into service position and remove the throttle bodies, intercooler, bi-pipes, oil separator, etc. just to get to the screen. With this JHM kit, this job only needs to be performed ONCE, saving you from this costly service every time you want to clean your filters. For your convenience we have added this kit as an option above.
High Performanace Downpipes
If you're interested in getting the most from your new HPA 4.0T Turbocharger upgrade, consider adding some high performance downpipes to your order. These downpipes allow for the installation of Stage 2 ECU tuning, which nets you even more HP and torque.
