TuneZilla strives for an OEM level of drivability and reliability. Their team of Calibrators from around the world painstakingly work to deliver repeatable performance on all of their base maps. One of the major differences between TuneZilla tunes and most of their competitor's tunes is their linear OEM-like throttle response. Where some software tuners increase throttle response to mask the actual output of their tunes by giving a very peaky feeling under acceleration, TuneZilla tunes are designed to make the most usable and consistent power curve possible to maintain a strong pull without a heavy fall off midway through the power band. All while generating peak power as early as possible in the RPM range. Most off the shelf tunes advertise an attractive peak power figure but suffer from a sudden drop in torque and a lower torque curve throughout the remainder of the RPM range.

DSG Equipped Vehicles - Please Note
You must install a TuneZilla TCU tune to your vehicle in order to use this ECU tune. Two options are available. You may either purchase the full TuneZilla Stage 1 and 2 TCU tune, or use a free Stage Plus TCU tune that simply unlocks the torque limit on the DSG transmission. Stage 3 (IS38) - 343 HP / 366 LB-FT (+133 HP / +108 LB-FT)
This Stage 3 IS38 tune is optimized to use the stock fuel system. 93 Octane is required.
Stage 3 Tunes are available on InstaTune as Off-The-Shelf base map files. In most cases, these files will work as intended, but due to variations in local fuel, hardware discrepancies, and vehicle condition, data logging may be required to ensure the tune is working as intended. If you do not have access to the required fuel specified on InstaTune, you may request a tune revision for your local available fuel. This may also require data logging to ensure correct adjustments are made to your tune.
Data logging is recommended (and in some cases may be required) to ensure customer satisfaction and engine longevity. Our goal is to provide you with the best tuning solution for your hardware setup.

Custom Tuning
If you feel that the existing TuneZilla tune offerings will not work for your application or your intended use, you can request Custom Tuning. Custom Tuning must be requested through the TuneZilla Ticket system, and you must provide vehicle information as well as hardware (upgrades) information. Once submitted, TuneZilla's team of calibrators will evaluate your request and determine if Custom Tuning can achieve your goals. If they are able to do this, your Tune Request will be accepted.
Custom Tuning requires heavy participation from you, and possibly us. TuneZilla's Calibrators will require that the vehicle has access to dyno time (available at our Maryland Shop Location if you are local) when needed, and data logging is required. If you are not comfortable with data logging, and if you may not be able to access a facility with a dyno (many facilities will rent dyno time) custom tuning may not be possible for you.
Custom Tuning vs. Off The Shelf Tuning
We understand that end users have varying driving styles and build purposes, which is why TuneZilla offers revisions on all of their Off-The-Shelf tunes. By offering Custom Tuning to customers, TuneZilla can be sure you are getting the most out of your vehicle with your specific parts upgrades. The TuneZilla OTS (off-the-shelf) maps are tested in house with as many variables as possible to ensure even if you don’t want to customize your tune, your vehicle’s OEM sensors and adaptations will still be able to optimize our tunes to your region’s fuel and most bolt-on upgrades. Tune Revisions are not the same as Custom Tunes. See TuneZilla Terms and Conditions for their re-tune policy (section 4b)
TuneZilla believes it’s important for customers to understand what is happening inside their engine so they can make informative decisions. The TuneZilla LOG VIEWER automatically generates your vehicles data log .csv files into easy to read graphs which can then be viewed by their Calibrators to find areas of optimization on your vehicle. Not only can this data be used to optimize your tunes, but a lot of troubleshooting and diagnosing can be done by comparing requested data to actual data at a glance.
In many cases, custom tuning is not required. If you are unsure if you will benefit from a Custom Tune, or are interested in getting a Custom Tune, please reach out to our team for more information.

At Home Installation
In order to install this tune yourself, you will need a FlashZilla Pro tuning device and a computer installed with a Windows 10 or newer operating system. You may add a FlashZilla Pro to your order by selecting the option above.
If you already have access to a FlashZilla Pro tuning device, simply select the option above and we'll contact you about how you can add this tune to your existing account or how to create a new one if you don't already have one.
Professional Installation
