This turbocharger upgrade kit includes all of the parts you'll need to install a Audi 8Y S3/VW Mk8 Golf R Continental turbocharger to your VW Mk8 GTI.

Intake Options:
The intake system requires a different turbo inlet that fits the larger Continental turbo.
If you already have an APR Mk8 GTI Intake (CI100052), you can simply choose to include the parts needed to adapt to the new turbocharger. If you currently have the stock intake on your car, we have provided an option to add a new APR Audi 8Y S3/VW Mk8 Golf R intake to your order.

- 5WA145693C - Diverter Valve Recirc Hose
- MS100225 - APR Turbo Outlet Hose
The Continental turbo moves the factory diverter valve off of the turbo and onto the throttle body inlet pipe, and uses a different diverter valve. The new turbo also removes the turbo muffler from the turbocharger.
This basically means that you'll need a new diverter valve and the pipework to connect it to your turbocharger. We've given you options to add a genuine Audi 8Y S3/VW Mk8 Golf R diverter valve and recirculation hose to your kit. An APR Throttle Body Pipe and Turbo Outlet Hose are also required, so we've also included the option to add them into your kit.
In addition, the factory DV harness will need to be extended, or removed from the loom and relocated.
ECU Tuning Software
To get the extra performance out of your new turbocharger, you will need to install tuning software as well. At the moment, APR is the only tuner that has tuning software for this turbocharger on a Mk8 GTI. We have provided options to purchase APR software along with your turbocharger kit.
If you currently have APR Stage 1 or 2 software installed to your GTI, the upgrade to APR Stage 3 is discounted.
This software can be installed at home or by one of our service shops. If you choose the option to have this software installed at one of our shops, we will contact you to set up an appointment. If you choose to install this software on your own, we will add an APR Ultralink at home programmer to your cart.
Please note that not all ECU box-codes may be available for this software. We highly recommend that you verify software is available for your ECU box-code before placing an order. YOU are responsible for checking to see if software is available for your specific ECU. Returns will not be accepted on this kit if software is un-available for your specific box-code. If you are local to one of our shops, please contact-us to set up an appointment to have your car scanned for software availability.
DSG TCU Tuning Software
Vehicles equipped with a DSG transmission will require upgraded TCU software. If you currently have APR TCU software, you will simply need to have your vehicle re-flashed to the updated Stage 3 TCU software. If you currently have 034Motorsport TCU software, you will need to upgrade to their Stage 3 TCU software.
LIQUI MOLY Pro-Line Turbocharger Additive
We use LIQUI MOLY Pro-Line Turbocharger Additive whenever installing a new factory or aftermarket turbocharger. It's an inexpensive way to help ensure that you get the most out of your new turbocharger.
LIQUI MOLY Pro-Line Turbocharger additive provides needed protection and allows for proper break-in of new turbochargers.
Optional parts:
The APR intake cover is not required. However, we have included it as an option since some may prefer the look of a cover on their intake instead of leaving it open. APR's intake covers are available in a simple factory style black plastic, carbon fiber twill or forged carbon fiber finishes.
