The ultimate chip upgrade for the Mk4 GTI / Jetta 1.8t engine is available from NGP and APR. Stage I ECU Upgrade

The APR Golf/GTI chip is available in a 1.0 Bar configuration. The chip is designed to operate within the stock turbochargers' efficiency range. APR chips are available in an octane specific version for the octane of gasoline that you typically run in your car. The power that the chip makes also depends on which ECU is in your vehicle. The Mk4 GTI / Jetta 1.8t ECU can be upgraded via DirectPort Programming or EMCS hard chip programming depending on the ECU.
