OE, OEM and Genuine Parts Explained
×OE Or OEM
OE, shorthand for Original Equipment, parts are the same as what was originally installed on your car and what you'd buy at the dealership parts counter, but with the dealer logos removed by the manufacturer (they will be stamped with the OE's name and logo instead).
OEM, Original Equipment Manufacturer, parts are produced by a manufacturer that supplies OE parts to vehicle manufacturers. Because they are produced side-by-side with OE parts, OEM parts are held to strict quality standards and quality control.
Genuine Or Aftermarket
Genuine parts are sourced directly from the vehicle manufacturer and at a higher cost compared to OE and OEM parts. These are the same parts found on your vehicle, and what you'd buy at your dealership's parts counter.
Aftermarket parts are non-factory parts and accessories that are used to repair or maintain a vehicle. These parts may be produced by a manufacturer that supplies OE parts to a vehicle manufacturer, but not always. Aftermarket parts are not original to the car and are often built with affordability in mind. They may also be the only available option for discontinued Genuine parts.
LIQUI MOLY Pro-Line Throttle Valve Cleaner is a mixture of cleaning agents for cleaning and maintaining intake manifold and throttle body of Gasoline engines. Dissolves and removes deposits and contaminants, restores normal function of moving parts. Also ideally suited to clean intake valves of modern GDI engines. Regular use keeps the intake system in perfect working order and reduces repair costs. Safe with catalytic converters, EGR and GPF systems.
Suitable for use in all 4-stroke gasoline engines, with or without turbochargers. Safe for use with catalytic converters and particulate filters (GPF). A preventive application every 12 months / 10,000 miles is recommended.
Instructions for use:
To prepare, attach tube with nozzle. To gain access, remove hose or pipe immediately before throttle housing. The engine needs to run to perform cleaning. If unable to start engine, disconnect air mass sensor connector while the ignition switch is in off position. Maintain minimum engine speed of 2000 rpm while spraying cleainer in short intervals of 2-3 seconds, and at the same time move the nozzle back and forth across opening to completely treat intake tract. If engine speed fluctuates more than 1000 rpm stop spraying immediately and wait for speed to stabilize. Keep cleaning fluid from contacting air mass meter or painted surfaces. If excess deposits inside EGR valve, intake manifold or intake valves, a second can of cleaner may be used to improve the result. After completion, leave the engine running at 2000 rpm for a minimum 20 seconds to allow complete removal of any residing fluid in intake system. Afterwards erase any stored fault codes.
