BMC Drop-In Replacement Panel Air Filter - VW Mk8, Mk7/Mk7.5, Audi 8Y, 8V, 8S 1.8T/2.0T
This BMC panel air filter is a direct replacement air filter for the factory equipped intake airbox in many Audi and VW MQB chassis vehicles. BMC air filters are made of high performance materials that allow an increased air flow combined with a more efficient filtration. This guarantees the protection from of all impurities as small as 7 microns (compared to the OEM filter which only filters 10 microns).
BMC air filters are produced using a "Full Moulding" system that enables the characteristic red filter to be realized from a single mould with no welded joints. Thus avoiding easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filtering systems has a long life, is very durable and has optimum adhesion characteristics.
BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil covered with an epoxy coated alloy mesh to ensure protection from petrol fumes and oxidization due to air humidity.
BMC produces the intake systems and filters for some of the highest performing race cars in the world, including our own Audi RS3 LMS TCR racecar. If a BMC air filter is good enough for constant abuse on the track, it's more than good enough for your daily driver.
